Mini Moments are the Best!

Tuesday. September 18. 2012

Monkey and Frog from Gaga and Pop!  :)

I am that mom who snaps a picture of my children every chance I get. I'm sentimental about everything - and the mini moments in our days absolutely melt my heart. To me, it is the simple, things that I want to capture forever. They are the moments that stop me in my tracks and help me to remember how blessed we are.

This morning I stopped to listen to Ben sing his ABC's to himself as he ate his breakfast - and tonight he sang "Twinkle Twinkle" to Maggie as I tucked her into bed - too sweet!

When I leave for work, Maggie stands at the back door and signs "I love you" as I pull away. I adore those moments.

And teeny tiny Kathryn - she lights up my world with her huge smile and dalring dimples. I just can not get enough of her sweet and fiesty little personality.

Dan and I love our babies dearly and thank God for every day we have with them <3

Here are just a few mini moments from our week...

Play day at Nonnie and Poppos :)

Tota Time!

Friday. September 14. 2012

Last weekend the Tota's were in town and we had SO much fun! Aunt Amy and Uncle Bob came down for a wedding and we got some quality cousin time with Jack, Sam and Elizabeth (or Lou Lou). The kids had a sleep over at Nonnie and Poppo's on Friday night and than spent the day and night with us on Saturday. It is very rare for us to get all the little ones together so we had a great time! We played at a park, had a picnic, spent some time at Uncle Brian's new house, had a pizza party, played games, made special birthday cards for Lawrence, and had a fun movie night. After a long day, we all were in bed by 10. The boys (including Dan) camped out in the living room, and Maggie and Lou Lou shared Maggie's bed :)We survived and are ready to do it again - there is a lot of truth to the saying "the more the merrier" - there was never a dull moment and the kids just love being together. We look forward to the next sleepover - Love You Tota's!
Uncle Bob is the best!
Where's Maggie?
Thank goodness for playrooms!

"Hi Ho Hi Ho... it's off to school she goes!"

Wednesday. September 5. 2012

Maggie started preschool today! She is attending the Bo-Peep program at First Federated Church - and she LOVES it! Her teachers are Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Wolfe :) She is in the same class as her cousin, Georgia, and there are no words to describe how cute those two are together. They are 6 months apart and have been great friends since the day they met :) Their love for Princesses, Tinker Bell and Hello Kitty could keep them entertained for hours. I love that they will get to have so much time with each other every week.

It was comforting to know she had sweet Georgia there when I left. I was so sad leaving - but I held strong and saved my tears for later.

While Maggie was at school, Ben and I had some quality time. He helped me vacuum and played on the sun porch. At one point he yelled "Look at me, mom!" - and this is what I found him doing...

Her first day was a success. It was a shortened day (just 1 1/2 hours) and she played with My Little Ponies, colored, and went to the bathroom all by herself. She said "the teacher let me have my privacy, mom".

I tried to snap a picture of all 3 before I took Maggie to school - this was the best I could get!

Entering the doors of Bo-Peep! Yay!

Maggie went right in, washed her hands, and found a pony castle to play with :)

Maggie's name tag, book bag, and bucket. The buckets are recycled from Emack's :) Thanks Poppo!

So proud of our little Maggie!
Cheers to many happy school moments!

Love,
Mommy Myers
